When uploading versions, the view's original orientation is lost. This makes uploading versions cumbersome, and the visit becomes strange due to erratic movement when changing views. Perhaps if maintaining orientation has some limitations due to uploading images directly, the view's orientation could be set manually once loaded.
This issue has been resolved and a feature to set a custom orientation for your panoramas has been added.
You can find it when you open a panorama as Editor under Edit -> File Settings -> Panorama Settings -> Orientation
